OUR STORY
Good taste doesn’t come overnight. Since our founding in 1967—when we introduced the world’s first Añejo tequila—a singular driving force has guided 1800® Tequila: pushing the boundaries of taste.
1800® Tequila takes its name from a time when our family—whose tequila-making lineage spans 11 generations—secured the first license to produce, transport, and sell tequila across Mexico, paving the way to share it with the world.
From the release of our Añejo in 1967 to our modern innovations like charcoal filtration in 1800® Cristalino, we continue to raise the bar in pursuit of one goal: helping people find the best taste—in tequila and in life. It’s through generations of passion, discipline, and craft that we’ve earned our place as the World’s Most Awarded Tequila.
