1800 Tequila x Sofar Sounds: Cinco Series

by the 1800® Team

This Cinco De Mayo, 1800® Tequila celebrated music, culture, and community by throwing five shows in five cities on May 5th.

In partnership with Sofar Sounds, we lit up secret locations across the country with the brightest up-and-coming hip-hop and R&B artists each city has to offer. About 100 lucky music lovers in each location were welcomed into an intimate secret venue for a night of premium 1800® cocktails and epic performances. Check out what went down and who was there below:

New York

Beyond Studios helped us bring the fire in Brooklyn! 1800® Tequila flowed freely at the open bar and the performances were electric. Phony Ppl opened the show with a bang and had everyone buzzing, Denzil Porter captivated everyone with his incredible talent and ZenSoFly got the audience on their feet, bouncing to her latest tracks.

Chicago

Matt Muse, L.A. Van Gogh, and Bianca Shaw made magic in Chicago. The setting was Jim J’s — a unique and intimate space perfect for a classic Sofar show with an 1800® Tequila twist. Once cocktails were distributed, the performers hit the stage and blew everyone away.

Detroit

The vibe in Detroit was real. The crowd applauded Drey Skonie who kicked off the night with his killer dance moves. After a quick break for 1800® refreshments, he was followed by the incomparable Nolan the Ninja with Neisha Neshae closing the show.

Houston

The talent in Houston was next level! We were so stoked to host The Bayou City Brass Band who brought the heat with their fun covers and perfect harmonies. The Hue was next, while Guilla ended the night leaving the crowd wanting more.

Washington D.C.

D.C kept it pumping with a couple of our favorite local artists: Saba Abraha, Matt McGhee and IDK. Each set was just as fresh as the next, keeping the crowd moving as they sipped on their 1800® Coconut Crushers and Margaritas.

All in all, our 2018 Cinco Series was a hit and we can’t wait to keep it going.
